AT THE HELM
of Studio Spooky is Tate A.K. Obayashi, a multi-disciplinary artist living and surviving in New York City. Tate was born in Canada, raised in California and trained at the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She enjoys Peter Greenaway films, true crime podcasts, Gary Numan’s “The Pleasure Principle” and a good beef tartare.
