Each week, students at St. Luke’s School in New York City roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty, learning everything from the basics of ceramics, such as coiling and rolling out clay to working on large scale pieces that incorporate glazing techniques and mold making. Once a trimester students work collaboratively on a piece that is given back to the school, leaving their mark and inspiration for generations to come. Currently offered to students in grades K-5.

You are! If you make a mess clean it up. Glaze spills are normal but if you intentionally make a mess you may be asked to leave the class. And everyone chips in tidying for the last 5 minutes of class!

If you have. a question, raise your hand and stay in your seat. A teacher will come to you. Each project is optional but instructions on that class’s project will be prioritized.

Yes, chatting is ok as long as everyone can still hear the teacher. If there’s loud screaming you may be asked to leave the class.
