Bento Tray (Glaze)
Today we’ll be glazing our bento trays. Students can use the traditional glazing techniques we’ve been using or can try out underglaze pencils to draw or write out the types of food they’d like to use their bento tray for.
Marbled Mugs (Glaze)
Today we’ll be adding a clear coat to bring out the nerikomi marbling and learn how to use wax resist on the bottoms of our pieces.
Lamp Collab & Pocket (Glaze)
16 features and accessories will be written down on a piece of paper. Each student will pick from a hat a thing they’ll sculpt. The features and accessories will then be added to a lamp base.

Big Project: Plan
Students will receive past projects and a chance to make magnets out of their tiles. We will spend most of the class drawing out what we want to make for our big project.
Wall Pockets
Students will receive past projects and build wall pockets that can be filled with candy or flowers for Valentine’s Day.
Tiles: Stamp & Repeat
We’ll make at least one tile from the mold, one from the stamp and one to contribute to a communal project later on in the trimester
Tiles: Stamps & Molds
Tiles will be made in to magnets and will also be used in a collaborative mosaic planter that will be auctioned off at the St. Luke’s Spring benefit.
